BSNL new special tariff vouchers denominations priced RS 13, Rs15, Rs 26, Rs27, Rs29 and Rs 41 offers for local On-Net Call and Reduced Call Facility under 2G &3G prepaid mobile customers.
BSNL new Reduced call facility STV’s allows customers to reduce call charges to any 2 BSNL local numbers at 30ps/min with Rs.15 for 30days and Rs.41 for 90 days with Local/STD On-net(BSNL network)) call charges at 1ps/sec and Off net(other network) at 1.2 ps/sec, and also Rs.13 for 30days and Rs.29 for 90days for Local/STD On-net(own network) call charges at 50ps/min and Offnet(other n/w) at 60ps/min with a reduction of call charges for 2 BSNL numbers at 30ps/min.

Airtel & Idea cuts promotional benefits and free Mins
India’s leading service provider Bharti Airtel on Wednesday said that the company has cut down on promotional tariffs and free minutes across the country.
Bharti Airtel said they have reduced promotional benefits and free minutes on both existing usages and new Sims, and also reduced validity of its recharge coupons from three months to one month and has increased prices of some call vouchers for prepaid customers Rs 5 by up to Rs 15.
Bharti Airtel has doubled the call rates from Re 1 per minute to Rs 2 per minute. The airtel spokesperson said “We have been reiterating that increase in prices is inevitable, which is reflected from the fact that despite rising costs, tariffs have been falling over the past 12 quarters,”
While other telecom service provider Idea Cellular also increased their call price from Rs 1.2 paise per second to Rs 2 paise per second. Voice calls account for about 85 percent of the sector’s revenues, with mobile data still at a nascent stage.
But call rates in India are some of the lowest in the world, often less than 1 cent per minute and squeezing profits at operators.
Airtel, Idea, Vodafone, Uninor and Aircel Hike Call Rates
Indian Leading telecom GSM operators such as Bharti Airtel, Idea cellular, Vodafone Tata Docomo, Aircel and Uninor as increased Voice call rates. The leading telecom companies have reduced its promotional offers and free minutes across the country.
Bharti Airtel, India’s leading service provider said that they reduced its promotional offers and free minutes leading to hike in voice charges across country from Rs 1 per minute to Rs 2 per minute but there is no change in the headline tariff.
India’s third service provider Idea Cellular also reduced its offers and increased their call price from Rs 1.2 paise per second to Rs 2 paise per second. While Tata Docomo has increased to Rs 1.5 paise per second.
Other service provider operators such as Vodafone, Aircel and Uninor also increased call voice marginally.
Indian telecom operators have raised tariff to shape the fortunes of the Industry in the coming months and also some believe that this tariff hike comes in line of Government upcoming ruling to offer Free Roaming.
